About photographic workshops, courses and guided photo tours in Italy by Camera Etrusca.
CAMERA ETRUSCA is an adventure photographic workshop led by professional photographer Patrick Nicholas – off the beaten track in Italy and off the road too by Land Rover, roving over Tuscany and Umbria, with all the advantages that the lively and supremely picturesque city of Orvieto offers.
CAMERA ETRUSCA will take you off the road, but we offer more than just a photography workshop or a photo course. You won’t find yourself staying in a remote spot but in a lively town full of restaurants and cafés, good shopping and two markets a week. Orvieto hosts several major festivals throughout the year and you’ll often find live music and dancing in the summer months.
We take you out to the surrounding beauties of Tuscany and Umbria every day so you won’t need a car, but if you fancy a trip to Rome at the beginning or the end of the workshop it’s only an hour away by train.
Our photography courses cater for every level of experience from absolute beginners to professional photographers wishing to expand their horizons. So what will you learn? Our tutors are professional photographers with years of teaching experience and are happy to take you through the basics such as how to operate your camera on manual settings, which default settings to change, the creative use of depth of field, portraiture, landscape photography, photography techniques and much more.
But it’s not just about photography. You will find yourself in Tuscany and Umbria an area of outstanding beauty that is the cradle of Western Art and European civilization. We are extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Italy which we are sure that you will grow to become as enthusiastic about as we are. Besides, the Italians live an enviable lifestyle which we invite you to share.
